Responsibilities and practice

Dentons US LLP is seeking a part-time attorney with excellent academic credentials and over four years of legal experience to join our Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice. The associate will focus on a broad range of issues relating to estate planning, tax, real estate, disputes, investments and succession planning. The associate hired will reside in our New York or Short Hills office. Expected responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting Wills, Trusts, and related documentation
• Advising Executors and Trustees regarding the administration of complex international and domestic estates and trusts
• Preparing and filing estate and gift tax returns and tax-exemption applications
• Advising individuals and families on trust structures and private client tax matters
• Providing litigation support
• Directly interacting with clients and other advisors to work together on sophisticated, highly sensitive matters while achieving client objectives nationally and internationally

Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position will be $170,000 to $200,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
