New FCA policy statement on diversity on boards and executive committees

United Kingdom: The FCA has published a new policy statement on proposals to amend the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules and the Listing Rules with regard to diversity on boards and executive committees along with comments on final amendments to its handbook.

No protection from detriment short of dismissal for participating in or organising industrial action under TULRCA 1992

United Kingdom: In a recent case, the Court of Appeal has found that TULRCA 1992 does not protect employees from detriments short of dismissal for participating in strike action even though it does provide protection where employees are participating in other union activities. The Court noted that this is a potential breach Article 11 of the ECHR.
