Jonathan Bernstein is a partner in the firm’s Cayman office and heads the Investment Funds group. He has a broad private funds practice focused on advising fund sponsors on the structuring and ongoing operation of funds, co-investment vehicles, unit trusts and segregated portfolio companies. Jonathan also advises institutional, strategic and seed investors in connection with their investments into investment funds, and has acted as Cayman Islands counsel for both lenders and investment funds in structuring subscription, NAV and hybrid credit facilities. Jonathan’s practice also encompasses advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange and corporate reorganizations. Jonathan regularly advises funds, investment managers, trustees and fund administrators on regulatory and compliance matters including on anti-money laundering and data protection laws and regulations.
