Our overall inclusion and diversity strategy and ownership of its success sits with every Dentons member starting with our Global CEO, Elliott Portnoy.

Our Canada Inclusion and Diversity Council aligns our national Inclusion and Diversity Strategy to our Dentons Canada 2023 Strategy and works with leaders across our Canadian offices to develop and put into action, tangible plans to move the dial at the regional and local levels. Our Canada CEO, Chief Talent Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Director of Talent Strategic Projects, Canada Region Talent Director, Communications and Profile Director, and Inclusion and Diversity Specialist, as well as representatives from each of our local and regional affinity groups, lead by lawyers and business service professionals are represented on our Canada I&D Council.

Our local Inclusion and Diversity Networks and regional affinity groups help promote inclusion within the firm through awareness-building and engagement.

Each of our six Canadian offices have a local Inclusion and Diversity Network made up of Dentons members who have a vested interest and passion in promoting and advocating for inclusion. These networks foster an inclusive workplace though year round programs, events, networking opportunities and learning programs.
Our LGBT affinity group, Dialogue LGBTA, actively promotes and advances the interests and values of our Dentons community who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans. This group is also open to the many allies we have across our offices.
Dentons WomenLEAD (Leadership, Entrepreneurism, Advancement, Development) is our networking and professional development group dedicated to supporting our female professionals as they progress through their careers.
Dentons Global LGBT+ Network is our global LGBT+ resource group that connects and supports all our people across our regions by promoting cooperation between local LGBT+ affinity groups, increasing the visibility of issues affecting LGBT+ colleagues, and providing a means to explore new business opportunities with our clients.

Dentons Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals (CAUFP), is thrilled to announce the recipient of the 2023-2024 Dentons-CAUFP Scholarship, Divine Tatchinda, a first-year student in the Bachelor of Civil Law and Juris Doctor program at McGill University in Montréal.
