Moscow—Global law firm Dentons and the Research Center of the Problems of Regulation of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (ANO Robopravo) have signed a cooperation agreement to develop legal regulation on robotics, artificial intelligence and new technologies in the Russian Federation.

On October 2, 2017, ANO Robopravo will hold a working meeting to discuss a strategy for the state support of robotics, jointly with the National Association of Robotics Market Participants. Participants will include robot manufacturers, industrial robotics integrators, development institutes, and industry experts.

In December 2016, Dentons was commissioned by Grishin Robotics to develop the concept of the first draft law on robotics in Russia. The document sparked discussion about systematic legislative regulation of the field. The concept was not the Firm’s first experience in developing legislation in the high-tech field. Dentons’ team has developed innovative legal concepts for numerous new technologies, including the Internet of things, 3D printing and legal aspects of virtual worlds.
