Chicago and New York—Dentons Litigation and Dispute Resolution partner Kristen Rodriguez and International Dispute Resolution senior managing associate Diora Ziyaeva were named as 2018 American Bar Association (ABA) On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers. This honor from the ABA Young Lawyer's Division, recognizes young lawyers who demonstrate a "broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service."

Rodriguez, who is based in Chicago, focuses her practice on complex commercial and class action litigation cases at the trial court and appellate levels, and leading discovery, briefing, and strategy in large-scale litigation. She counsels clients regarding contracts, torts, advertising, media law, privacy and insurance. In Rodriguez's media defense and First Amendment practice, she represents publishers and broadcasters in matters involving defamation, invasion of privacy, media access, reporter’s privilege and freedom of information laws. As chair of Dentons' Latino Professional Network, she promotes diversity and awareness throughout the Firm, and develops educational initiatives that extend to attorneys and clients alike. Rodriguez is a Fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and was selected as one of Crain's Chicago Business' of "Most Influential Minority Lawyers in Chicago" in 2017.

Ziyaeva, who works out of the New York office, is an international arbitration specialist with a decade of experience litigating complex cases and representing clients from around the world from diverse industries under all major international arbitration rules. Her practice focuses on investor-state arbitration, commercial arbitration, cross-border enforcement of arbitration awards and issues and disputes relating to public international law, as well as corporate law with an emphasis on the energy sector. Ziyaeva has represented clients in disputes governed by the laws of more than thirty nations across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia, the Americas, Oceania and North Africa. She has been actively involved with implementation of HIV-AIDS awareness and drug awareness seminars throughout Uzbekistan, and provided extensive pro bono representation at the Civil Law Clinic in Uzbekistan where she led a community service initiative helping orphanages and disabled children's homes.
