Dentons’ Energy and Natural Resources and Environmental Protection teams in Warsaw advised Mitsui Renewable Energy Europe Limited (Mitsui & Co., Ltd. group) and J-Power Investment Netherlands B.V (Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. group) on the sale of Zajączkowo Wind Farm to Green Investment Group (Macquarie group).

This is one of the biggest transactions on the Polish onshore wind energy in 2019. Located approximately 10km south-west of the city of Słupsk (north Poland), the 48 MW Zajaczkowo onshore wind farm has been operating since 2008 and comprises 24 Vestas V80 turbines of 2 MW each.

Supervising the project were Partner Arkadiusz Krasnodębski, Co-head of Dentons’ Energy and Natural Resources practice in Europe and Partner Ewa Rutkowska-Subocz, co-Head of the Environment and Natural Resources practice in Europe. Managing Counsel Agnieszka Kulińska led the transaction team, supported by Senior Associate Emanuel Kośka. Senior Associate Jan Dubiński, Associate Filip Ruciński (Energy and Natural Resources team) and Associate Dawid Krakowiak (Environmental Protection team) were also involved in the works on the transaction.
