Global law firm Dentons has advised Uniper on the signing of a conditional share purchase agreement for the acquisition of the 20.4 MW photovoltaic project from Photon Energy Group.

The project is located in the northeastern part of Poland, in the municipality of Szepietewo, and is Photon's largest PV project in Poland. The deal is expected to close later this year, once the project reaches ready-to-build status.

Operating in more than 40 countries, Uniper is one of Europe's largest operators of hydroelectric power plants and is seeking to further develop solar and wind power. In Poland, one of Uniper's key markets, the company aims to develop renewable energy projects with a total capacity of approximately 1 GW.

Dentons provided comprehensive transactional, regulatory and tax advice to Uniper.
