Shareholder Elizabeth Coonan was recently elected to the Des Moines Water Works Park Foundation Board of Directors. The foundation is a nonprofit supporting the development and operations of one of the largest urban parks in the United States.

“Serving on the Des Moines Water Works Parks Foundation Board presents an opportunity to help shape the direction of water quality conversation,” said Beth, “The availability of safe drinking water is one of the most important issues facing our community today and the Des Moines Water Works Park Foundation is committed to not only conserving the Park’s wild spaces but also to improving community access and creating cleaner water for Central Iowans.”

The Des Moines Water Works Park Foundation was formed in November 2013 and is a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve the quality of life for Central Iowans. The Foundation integrates education, conservation, recreation, and health by engaging park users and informing them of the importance of water quality throughout their adventure in Water Works Park.
