Two deals on which Dentons acted secured victory at the Marketing on Mobile Awards (the MOMAs) which took place at the Emirates Stadium in London on 21 May 2014.

The first, Barclay's mobile payments app Pingit, won the 'Best Product/Services Launch on Mobile' award, as well as the 'Grand Prix' award. The Dentons team, which included partner Martin Fanning, advised Barclays on the roll-out of two additional payment solutions to Pingit - 'buyit' and 'mobile checkout'.

The second, digital migration at Argos, won the 'Most Innovative use of Mobile' award. Dentons advised Argos in relation to its programme to reinvent itself as a digital retail leader, repositioning it from a catalogue-led to a digitally led business as part of a 5-year transformational plan it announced to the City in October 2012. The team was lead by partners Scott Singer and Dan Burge and included technology associates Henrietta Baker and Nicola Harding.

The MOMAs, now in their second year, aim to identify the great work being done in mobile and award those delivering effective strategies and campaigns. The ceremony brought together the elite of the UK's mobile industry and the esteemed judging panel included, among others, Anthony Rose, co-founder & CTO at Zeebox, James Hilton, Global CEO at M&C Saatchi Mobile and Catherine Cherry, Marketing Director - UK, Ireland, Netherlands at Sony Mobile Communications.
