The office includes lawyers with significant experience representing clients in lending litigation, including matters relating to secured transactions involving real property, foreclosure and receivership actions, loan repurchase disputes, financial remedies enforcement, lender liability issues, and creditors' rights and debtor protection matters.

Our representation of insurers includes regulatory litigation and investigations (both state and federal); defense of underwriting and claims-related class actions; and general business disputes, including trade secrets, antitrust and redlining. Our litigators routinely represent trustees, debtors, individual creditors and committees in the defense and pursuit of all manner of litigation arising from bankruptcies and insolvencies. We have litigated breach of contract, trade secret, unfair competition and construction disputes; employment matters, including wage-and-hour disputes and harassment/discrimination complaints; and cybersecurity breach and data privacy cases.

We help clients anticipate business disputes and avoid the risk and costs of litigation. For example, we advise on cybersecurity resiliency and preparedness, including conducting cyber gap and risk assessments under various information security frameworks, and reviewing and negotiating technology contracts.

We represent employers in the restaurant, retail, entertainment and technology industries across the spectrum of labor and employment litigation matters, from executive disputes to the defense of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour claims filed under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA),California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
