The Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) aims to ensure a unified application of the regime to increase market integrity and investor protection throughout the EU, and due to Brexit there is now also a UK version of MAR. Largely identical, both regimes require the disclosure of inside information as soon as possible and prohibit insider dealing, the unlawful disclosure of inside information and market manipulation.
