Capital Markets: Based in New York, our highly regarded Capital Markets team has been at the forefront of securitization and structured finance for more than three decades. Intellectual Property and Technology: Our leading New York Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) practice has established Dentons as the “go-to firm” for everything related to trademarks, brand protection, and enforcement matters. Real Estate: The New York Real Estate team is a key component of Dentons’ US 175-lawyer practice. The team is renowned for crafting sophisticated, multifaceted financial transactions that satisfy complex lender requirements and the necessary documentation for closing the deals. Our lawyers advise lenders and borrowers on acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine loan transactions, and revolving credit facilities, among other real-estate related financings. Our attorneys have successfully managed high-profile cases, including the Verity Health System of California, the second-largest nonprofit hospital bankruptcy in U.S. history, as well as significant matters arising from the PG&E Chapter 11 proceedings, the Dura Automotive Systems bankruptcy, and the bankruptcy of First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation. Recent committee representations include serving the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in both the Fairport Baptist Homes nursing home bankruptcy and the Heywood Healthcare hospital bankruptcy.

We are proud to have represented a leading Russian aerospace company in its acquisition of a U.S. commercial satellite launch services firm as part of a reorganization plan, a transaction that was honored as the “Cross Border Transaction of the Year” by The M&A Advisor. New York Becomes First In The Nation To Mandate Paid Prenatal Leave

Under new legislation signed by Governor Kathy Hochul, New York will become the first state to mandate paid time off for prenatal care. Starting January 1, 2025, all private-sector employees in New York will be entitled to an additional 20 hours of paid sick leave for prenatal healthcare services.
