Berlin—Global law firm Dentons has advised the project developer S&G Development GmbH on lease negotiations with H-Hotels for a hotel development at the central station in Leipzig. The project involves a 300-room hotel under the H-Hotel brand “H2” as well as a 200-room hotel under the “Ramada” brand. Both hotels are run by the H-Hotel group which concluded a 20 year lease agreement with S&G Development with an extension option. The hotels are split into two buildings.

The deal is worth €60 million for S&G Development who are acting as developer and lessor for the project. The property, with an external design that will be decided by an international architectural competition, is an essential part of the general development project of a new central bus station in Leipzig. Construction is set to start at the end of 2016 and aims to be completed within 18 months. In addition to the hotels, an underground car park will also be built.

The Dentons team was led by Counsel Jan Hellner, who has provided comprehensive advice to S&G Development, especially in relation to the lease agreements with the operator. The team also included Counsel Michael Brill.
