Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons advised engineering company Lahmeyer International on the acquisition of Overdick and Deutsche Offshore Consult (DOC), two companies specializing in offshore projects. With these strategic acquisitions, Lahmeyer has strengthened its position as a leading engineering service company in the energy sector, in particular in the rapidly growing market for offshore wind energy. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.

Overdick, founded in 2000, is an international leader in offshore engineering and design as well as maintenance and inspection services in the fields of offshore wind, oil and gas. The company is also active in marine architecture, ship operations, platform dismantling and salvage.

Based in Bremen and Bremerhaven, DOC has extensive project experience in the implementation of offshore wind projects. In recent years, the company has been involved in the planning and construction of numerous ambitious offshore projects in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

The expertise of Overdick and DOC in the planning, construction and installation of offshore wind farms will enable Lahmeyer to provide clients with the full suite of services for offshore projects from implementation to management.

Lahmeyer is a leading engineering company for complex infrastructure projects in the fields of energy, water and hydropower as well as construction and transport. Based in Bad Vilbel, Hesse, the company's clients include governments, utilities, investors and international financial institutions.
