Berlin/Dusseldorf/Frankfurt/Munich—Global law firm Dentons has advised IGP medical GmbH on the acquisition of the Klinikum Bad Bramstedt hospital from insolvency. The creditors' meeting approved the insolvency plan, including the takeover, at the Neumünster District Court on October 14, 2024, terminating the insolvency proceedings.

The deal will allow Klinikum Bad Bramstedt to continue providing healthcare to its local communities and paves the way for the modernization of the hospital.

Klinikum Bad Bramstedt employs close to 1000 people in three locations in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. It offers a total of 202 hospital and 400 rehabilitation beds, as well as 198 outpatient places. It also owns RehaCentrum Hamburg, one of Germany's largest rehabilitation providers. The company operates an acute hospital, which consists of various specialist clinics, as well as a rehabilitation clinic. In addition, Klinikum Bad Bramstedt is a teaching hospital of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.

IGP medical is an investor group based in Norderstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, which focuses on investments in the healthcare sector.
