Dentons Larraín Rencoret was recognized among the firms that participated in the winning Deal of the Year Latin Lawyer Awards 2021 in Banking and Finance.

The firm´s participation consisted of advising Knighthead, a U.S. hedge fund, on various tax aspects related to foreign loans granted to Chilean taxpayers, including the analysis of certain exemptions and special rules provided by the local legislation.

This counseling was carried out within the framework of LATAM Airlines’ US$2.45 billion debtor-in-possession loan, which won the Banking and finance “Deal of the Year” award from Latin Lawyer.
