Ian Jones is a senior associate in the Construction, Infrastructure and PPP and Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups.

Ian has a practice that focuses on matters relating to construction law and the resolution of disputes related to the construction industry, with a particular focus on multi-party, complex litigation. He provides advice to clients and assists them with developing practical solutions to issues as they arise throughout all phases of a project, including procurement and construction. When disputes arise, Ian draws on nearly twenty years’ experience to develop appropriate strategies, represent his clients’ interests and provide creative advice for efficient resolution, whether through negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation. His experience includes representation of owners, developers, consultants and contractors in a wide variety of disputes, including negligence claims involving design and construction, builders’ liens, contract disputes, defects and deficiencies, delay claims, claims for payment, warranty claims and surety bonds.

In addition to his construction law practice, Ian’s experience extends to corporate and commercial litigation, and insurance litigation, including coverage, fraudulent claims and claims of bad faith. He also has experience acting as Independent Supervising Solicitor in connection with the execution and administration of Anton Piller Orders.
