According to the results of 2020, Poland entered Ukraine's top three trading partners. Last year the total trading volume between Ukraine and Poland amounted to 7.36 billion dollars.

Accordingly, diligent tax planning of the investment structures and operating activities as well as the relocation of Ukrainians to work in Poland and vice versa, is becoming increasingly important. This comes with Ukraine introducing notable tax reforms, including the Anti-BEPS law which has already been implemented, the rules of foreign-controlled companies which will come into force in 2022, new regulations on qualifying non-resident activities in Ukraine as a permanent establishment and limitation of tax benefits applicable under double tax treaties.
