London—Dentons has advised Royal Mail Group on its new long-term commercial agreement with Post Office Limited.
With the Post Office's 11,500 branches and Royal Mail delivering letters and parcels to more than 31 million addresses, the two businesses have the UK's most comprehensive postal network. The commercial agreement will allow Royal Mail and the Post Office to adapt and innovate to changing demands and ensures that customers will still have access to Royal Mail and Parcel Force Worldwide products in the Post Office shops.
The Dentons team worked closely with Royal Mail's in-house team, led by Consumer Network Director Anna Malley and senior lawyers Roy Uriely and Sophie Sahlin.
Tristan Jonckheer, said, "It was a pleasure working with the Royal Mail team on this important new long-term agreement. Close collaboration between Dentons and Royal Mail's in-house team enabled us to bring together a diverse team of specialists with truly outstanding expertise. This was pivotal to the success of this matter."
UK TMT partner Tristan Jonckheer led on the matter for Dentons, with support from Head of Dentons' UK Corporate and Commercial division Scott Singer, partners Adrian Magnus and Alex Tostevin and a Dentons team comprising senior associate James Fox, associates Amy O'Shea and Nicholas Barnabo, and of counsel Tatiana Kruse.
