Kazakhstan—Dentons acted as legal counsel to South Korean conglomerate KT&G Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of tobacco and ginseng products, on its first major investment project in Kazakhstan.
The company has committed to building a tobacco manufacturing facility in the Almaty region. This landmark, strategic project, backed by national investment authorities, will serve both domestic and neighboring markets, marking a key milestone for foreign direct investment in the region.

The construction is to be completed in two phases, with operations scheduled to commence in 2026. The project is backed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Kazakh Invest, the national investment promotion agency

Dentons acted as primary legal adviser to KT&G, guiding the client through the project development and launch stages on all legal matters, including corporate, regulatory, tax, employment, and construction.
