Firm Earns Top Honors In BTI Consulting's Annual Litigation Report
Dentons has earned top honors in seven categories and has been selected as a member of an exclusive group of just four law firms in the most recent survey on litigation trends by BTI Consulting. For the first time, Dentons has been included among the "Fearsome Foursome," an honor bestowed upon four elite law firms for their intense approach and fierce tactics in today’s competitive legal market.
BTI observes, "These are the firms clients tell us they least want to see on the other side of the table in litigation. This year’s Fearsome Foursome sees its first shakeup in three years. New to the 2017 Fearsome Foursome is Dentons. The market-moving mega-firm … joins the ranks of firms striking fear into their competitors."
"We are proud of our Litigation team and grateful to be selected by our clients and colleagues for this recognition placing Dentons among the most prestigious law firms in the industry," said Dentons US managing partner Mike McNamara. "The Fearsome Foursome and seven Litigation Powerhouse distinctions are a remarkable endorsement of our client-centric strategy and a testament to the trust our clients place in Dentons lawyers and professionals every day."
In addition to joining the Fearsome Foursome, Dentons secured top honors and has been named a "Litigation Powerhouse" in seven prominent categories: Class Action, Securities and Finance Litigation, IP Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, Complex Employment Litigation, Everyday Employment Litigation and Product Liability Litigation. The Firm was also recognized as a "Standout" in the Everyday Commercial Litigation category.
BTI rankings are based solely on an annual survey of more than 300 general counsel and in-house litigation heads at large organizations with US$1 billion or more in revenue. For the Fearsome Foursome, researchers asked legal decision-makers which law firms they would least like to see as opposing counsel. The majority of clients named, unaided, the law firm members of the Fearsome Foursome. The research is independent and unbiased—no law firm or organization other than BTI sponsors this study. Participants are granted confidentiality at the individual and organizational level.
The Firm's US Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice is led by co-chairs Tami Azorsky and Roger Heidenreich.
