Ewa Rutkowska-Subocz, environment practice head at Dentons Warsaw, spoke on the panel at the International Coal & Climate Summit organized by the Ministry of Economy in Poland during the UN Climate Change conference – COP19 on 18/19 November 2013.
 
It was the coal industry’s most important event of the year. The conference brought together leaders of the world’s largest coal producing companies, energy & heat producers, coal-consuming industry representatives, senior policy makers, academics and NGOs to discuss the role of coal in the global economy in the context of the climate change agenda.
 
Ewa’s presentation was part of the 'Prospects for coal: Poland, Europe, World' panel of prof. Maciej Kaliski, Director of the Mining Department, Ministry of Economy. She spoke about the impact of the climate change regulations on high-carbon sector sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, chemical sector and steel manufacturing.
