Berlin—Global law firm Dentons and Japanese law firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu have advised Zensho Holdings on the acquisition of Sushi Circle Gastronomie GmbH. This strategic transaction marks Zensho Holding’s entry into the German market.

Zensho Holdings is Japan's largest foodservice provider and ranks among the top 10 global foodservice providers with more than 10,000 operating locations worldwide and consolidated sales of €5.5 billion.

Founded in 1997, Sushi Circle brought the conveyor belt sushi concept to Germany with the first Kaiten restaurant. The company is now a major foodservice provider with over 240 sushi islands in Germanyand approximately 700 employees.

Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu served as lead counsel  to Zensho Holdings on the acquisition.  Partner Christof Kautzsch led the cross-border Dentons team, which advised Zensho Holdings on German and Dutch law issues.
