Berlin—On 13 July, Dentons in Berlin hosted its second BB-Energy Talk in cooperation with the Berlin Brandenburg Energy Network (BEN).

Berlin partner Thomas Schubert and the BEN welcomed high-class speakers including Dr. Simone Peter, co-chairman of political party Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, and Stefan Kapferer, head of the Federal German Energy Association (Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V.) in order to talk about “Energy industry in transition”. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Gerd Rosenkranz, director of the Key Issues department at Agora, an energy consultancy.

More than 70 guests participated in a vibrant debate about the consequences of the Paris declaration for the energy sector worldwide, and how the new EEG 2017 (German Renewable Energy Sources Act) will impact the Energiewende in Germany.

Following the discussion, the participants gathered for a reception and had the opportunity to network and talk to other guests while enjoying food and drinks.

The event was a great success and an excellent opportunity to present Dentons to key individuals in the energy sector.
