Dentons is pleased to share that J. Mason Davis, one of our exceptional shareholders, was selected as the 2022 History in Motion Honoree by Regions Bank.

On Monday, February 28, 2022, Davis was honored at a reception in the Regions Field Ballroom in Birmingham, Alabama. The guest list included senior officers of the bank, local and state government officials, business and community leaders, and Davis’s friends and family. A prerecorded video with Davis was shown at the event to tell his story.

In observance of Black History Month, Regions Bank has hosted the reception “History in Motion” to celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans who have made history and the contributions they’ve made to our communities and nation. Since 2009, one outstanding individual has been selected as an honoree each year. Previous honorees include Representative John Lewis, Former U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama Judge U.W. Clemon, UMBC President Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski III, and civil rights pioneer Odessa Woolfolk.
