Carlos Urzúa is a partner in Dentons’ Santiago office. He co-leads the Corporate, M&A, and Real Estate practices and leads the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group.

In the corporate area, Carlos has vast experience assisting in M&A, joint ventures, competition, shareholder’s agreements, corporate restructuring, international financial transactions, investments funds, foreign investment, and financial matters.

Carlos has advised local and foreign companies and banks in various M&A processes, project finance, and general corporate matters.

Furthermore, he represents companies in bankruptcies processes, passive restructuring, and the negotiation of related contracts.

One of the focuses of his practice is the maritime sector, especially aquaculture.
