A multi-practice team of Dentons lawyers has advised Serverfarm, which owns and operates a portfolio of eight data centers across North America, Europe and Israel that aggregate more than 1.5 million gross square feet and 125MW of IT capacity, in entering into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Manulife Investment Management (on behalf of Manulife Infrastructure Fund II and its affiliates) (“Manulife IM”) will acquire a controlling interest Serverfarm. This acquisition, which is expected to close in the third quarter of 2023, will provide capital to Serverfarm to continue its expansion across North America, Europe, and Israel.
Kristina Beirne, the corporate partner advising on the deal, commented that: “We are excited to assist Serverfarm with this transaction. Manulife IM’s acquisition is a testament to Serverfarm’s success to-date and its potential for future growth.”
The Dentons team included Ausra Deluard (Antitrust), John Harrington (Tax), Dan Beale (Employment), and Irina Fayman (Corporate).
