Berlin—Global law firm Dentons has advised Trotec Holding GmbH in connection with the sale of Trotec GmbH to a fund company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG). The fund company already holds a majority stake in a Danish holding company which owns the Dantherm Group. The owner of Trotec, Detlef von der Lieck, will hold a significant stake in the Danish holding company and will also be a member of the advisory board.

Both Trotec and Dantherm are European leaders in the development and manufacture of heating, cooling, drying, ventilation and air purification products and solutions for the B2B market. In addition, Trotec has a strong online platform and a wide range of similar products for the B2C market. Through the merger Trotec and the Dantherm Group, headquartered in Heinsberg, Germany, and Skive, Denmark, respectively, want to create synergies in research and development, purchasing, logistics and production. Following the merger, the B2B business activities with strong international brands will be continued in combination with the Trotec- and Dantherm-branded B2B products so that customers will benefit from a broader product range. All activities will continue under their respective brands.
